PFM Blog Submission Guidelines

Hey beautiful,

Thank you for your interest in becoming a PFM blogger! We’re very pleased (and excited) to welcome you abroad our growing writing team. Agreeing to write for a blog – that’s destined to roll with the big dogs – can seem a bit mysterious, especially if you haven’t done it before.  But there’s no reason to worry, because we’ve got your back.

Here’s What You Need to Know:

  • This is currently a non-paying opportunity. Should this change in the future, you will be the first to know, scouts honor.
  • As a PFM blogger, you can commit to weekly or monthly submissions. You must commit to 8-12 annual posts. If you submit more than 12, that is perfectly fine!
  • Submissions are due every Sunday at midnight. Submitting content ahead of time is perfectly fine, too.
  • Monthly bloggers: your submissions will be due on the first Sunday of every month.
    • Work must be original and free of errors. Should content have errors, it is up to PFM Staff to decide whether to edit it, return it for corrections or disregard altogether. It is imperative that if you sample the work of someone else (quotes, photos, etc.) that you cite the exact source to avoid sticky legal matters.
    • For written posts: the maximum word count in all categories is 800! If you have a breaking news story or interview that requires more than 800 words, please send a heads up. Standard postings over the maximum word count will be broken into two parts if you are unable to minimize it.
    • Acceptable formats are written, audio and/or video posts.

We cover the following topics on mommyhood:

Parenting • Love/Sex/Relationships • Money • Independence • Work-at-home Moms • Family fun • Traveling • Wellness • Mind/Body/Soul • Healthy Living • Communication • Success Stories • PFM of the Month • How-tos/tips/tutorials • Balancing life & family • Personal Growth • Advice • Support • For Moms Only • For Dads Only • DIY projects…and so much more!

All bloggers will be allowed to link to their own website, Facebook & Twitter pages. Bloggers own the original content that they write and submit; we do not. However, it is at the discretion of the PFM Staff if the content should be removed or not. We, PFM, reserve the right to distribute content under our brand, with or without consulting the author. Our distribution pathways include but are not limited to the PFM website, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc. PFM will always credit each and every blogger for their work and will not or ever claim ownership of submitted content. Submitted content includes written, audio and video posts.
